Geomorphology

ARG works with Jeff Anderson of Anderson Environmental to conduct geomorphological and geoarchaeological investigations to identify buried sites in large stream valleys. The results of these investigations can be utlized to facilitate:

• Site avoidance

• Project planning

• Management recommendations  

Sites buried by flood-deposited silt are identified through a three-step process involving:

• Non-invasive landform interpretations

• Soil coring

• Deep-testing trenches
